Google added a remote desktop extension to its Chrome web store a while back, but its getting more useful with the release of Chrome Remote Desktop for Android. This app works like any number of other remote access solutions, except with much less setup and a fairly basic feature set.</div>

To enable remote access through Chrome, you need to add the extension on a computer and enable remote access. You don't have to actually keep a browser window open, but a process will run in the background. A PIN code is used to secure your computer, but you also need to be logged into the correct Google account in the Android app.</div>

The cursor is controlled by dragging anywhere on the screen. If you're zoomed in, the view slides with the cursor when it nears the edge of the screen. The zoom level can also be changed with the usual multitouch gestures. There's no direct tapping interaction with Chrome Remote Desktop—you're always relying on the cursor. As such, Windows 8 moders apps can be a bit tedious.</div>

You have to be signed into your Chrome account and have your password manager enabled for this handy shortcut to work. Once it is enabled, the tabs won’t shrink and will stack on top of each other when space runs out. 9) Incognito mode Perhaps Incognito mode is not exactly hidden, but it still amazes me how many people do not know about this brilliant feature. Google says it is “for times when you want to browse in stealth mode” (I will leave you to decide what they might be suggesting), but if you are concerned about privacy and the amount of information collected by Google when you are browsing, incognito mode stops Chrome from storing information about the websites you have visited. It still has your bookmarks but the sites you visit will not be stored in your browser history. <img height="398" name="incognito460" src="http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02737/incognito460_2737681a.jpg" width="640" /> Amusingly, when you open an incognito window, Google advices you to be wary of “malicious software”, “surveillance by secret agents”, and, best of all, “people standing behind you”. 10) Quick calculations Google Chrome’s address bar has many uses, including doubling up as a Google search bar. But if your maths is a bit rusty, it also can be used to make simple calculations. We need extensions.  Google Chrome's support for add-ons has exploded in just four years, with a library of extras that now almost rivals Firefox's.  Rather than stumbling through never-ending aisles of entries in the Chrome store however, browse through our tidy list of the 90 extensions everyone should consider, spanning categories such as security, tabs, and productivity. This list does not include "apps," which are also popular in the Chrome store; those are essentially links to select Web app sites, and can frequently be used with new tab extensions to make them easier to access. This list is all about actual add-ons that extend and improve your browsing experience, sometimes in ways you might not have thought possible. In some cases it might be nothing more than a convenient new drop-down menu. In others, it could be an extension that completely changes how you use a website or multiple sites.  There are a number of extensions specific to Google and its services, which isn't surprising considering Chrome is Google's browser. Most extensions work across operating systems, so you can try them on any desktop platform. Best of all, every extension mentioned here is entirely free, so there's no harm in giving each one of them a try. The unrelated AdBlock (minus the 'plus') does the same thing, but also adds video ad blocking on sites such as YouTube, and even in Flash-based games. Both extensions are hugely popular.
